We provide online information in a format that makes it accessible to the broadest and most varied audience. This includes those with a disability.

The site was designed with the user in mind and tested with our key stakeholders.

We have applied the W3C World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility guidelines.

The Electronic Conveyancing website conforms to W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at Level Double-A, with the exception of:

  • Checkpoint 1.1
  • Checkpoint 10.1

We welcome your comments and feedback on this site. Please contact us with suggestions you may have for improving your access to information.

Documents in PDF Format

A number of documents are presented in standard PDF format. To view these documents you will need Adobe Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Reader is free of charge.

A link to the download site is on all pages that require it. The full version of Adobe Reader is recommended as it includes accessibility features. It is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Many users find PDF Format documents convenient however some users may have difficulties opening or reading PDF documents. You may wish to use one of the free Adobe PDF Conversion Tools available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html

You can choose how to submit a PDF Format document and the document format you want it converted to (html or text).

You may also request from us a suitable version of a document. Please send an email with the title of the document you require, its location or URL on our website, and whether an MS Word or RTF (Rich Text Format) document is preferred. We apologise for any delay or inconvenience caused.

Multimedia

Sections of the Electronic Conveyancing website have been designed to utilise Adobe Flash. Please ensure you have installed the latest version of the free Adobe Flash Player in order to view the Electronic conveyancing website.
It is available at http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer

Where possible, text-based alternatives to the Flash animations have been integrated into the Electronic Conveyancing website.

The EC system demonstration features a voiceover explanation, however an alternative version not containing a voiceover is available. Users with slow Internet connections may wish to view the 'no audio' version, as the file size is considerably smaller.

New browser windows

When a new window is about to open, we let you know before you select a link by displaying the following icon:

This page will open in a new window

If you have Javascript disabled the link will still open but not in a new window.

Many users find this annoying or confusing. Some sites we link to do not let you use the 'Back' button. This makes it difficult for you to return to our site. We have tried to limit new windows opening so that you can stay in control of your navigation.
